The 7th and greatest ANNUAL NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT NIGHT -- Sept 19, 6:30 PM
Neighborhood improvement will be celebrated with recognition of neighbors who have made a difference -- by planning an event, or creating a service, or bringing people together to resolve a problem or to meet a community need. Bring your whistles and horns, and be ready to cheer for these wonderful people who make life in the neighborhoods great! There will be free pizza for the first 100 people :-) so bring the kids and don't be late! Location is Hunt School -- follow signs to the Neighborhood Planning Assembly party!
Following dinner and the hoopla!, Dan Bradley from public works will unveil your new Transportation Plan, in response to your requests (see list below) for safer streets for biking, expanded bus service, and new sidewalks. They have this amazing concept called "great streets," plus "slow streets" and "complete streets," proposal for a multi-modal transportation center downtown, and a zippy roundabout on North Ave? What? Could be happening! Stick around after dinner and find out what's in store for us out here!
